Fraser River Canyon Expedition. Part II

As I said in Part I, published on September 29th, this photographic adventure was an opportunity for photographers to explore a few hundred kilometers of the Fraser River’ spectacular canyonlands which are otherwise inaccessible for viewing; guided by Doug Green.

Every sandy beach offered us either a campsite, or a spot to set up our tripods and photograph the canyons architecture.

An erosional landscape known as the Cathedrals.

Throughout this journey, I was mindful that this river is the route of salmon. For centuries, ever since the river changed directions to flow south to the Salish Sea, salmon have journeyed north, some as far as Chilko Lake on the high volcanic Chilcotin Plateau.

Salmon know the history of every feature…..

…..every twisting channel…..

…..and the endless beauty of this world-renowned river.

The Fraser River photographic expedition with Doug Green was a life-time experience I will never forget.
