  1. Chris, perfect timing! Just got home from work and there was your newsletter. I really enjoyed looking at the photos and reading your detailed thoughts on the creative process. I must say that some of those iceberg shots (abstract) were just incredible, but all of them made me study and reflect on them. Makes me very inspired.

    1. Thanks for studying and reflecting upon the images Chris. I feel that’s the reason why your images are so expressive.

  2. Stunning beauty. Witnessing the “art” of creation I found myself breathless!!!!

    1. Thanks Karen…breathtaking it was!

I sometimes wonder why we take representational photos at all! I love photos about subjects not of subjects. It is deeper for me to look into our world not at our world. thanks for more wonderful images.

  4. Hi Chris, Jane and I saw that and a few other Lawren Harris paintings at the Art Gallery of Ontario just three days ago. It’s very inspiring art for photographers who like to make non-literal images!

  5. How cool is that! Rita and I were there last fall and saw a similar exhibit. So much to learn!

      Hi Chris
I was particularly taken by the series of the Arbutus Tree. You mentioned.’fairies’, – yes, I could see them!,along with the ‘spirit creatures’
Barkerville , ‘to yourselves’ has a special magic.
The patterns from the icebergs are very beautiful indeed.

  7. Chris,
Following your work for years, the abstracts of iceberg (1,3,5) are to me the prime of your art , astonishing, breathtaking and at the same time calming, offering pure, fine beauty
