  1. Lovely! These photos brought back such fond memories from the 2019 workshop, which was such a joy. Can’t wait to be with you and Dennis at the Gabriola workshop next month!

    1. It was so much fun to have you join us again at Gabriola Avril. Stay inspired! Chris

    Hi Chris-what wonderful work!

    1. Thank you as always Helen. Chris

  4. Thanks for the memories, Chris. My heart aches that I can’t join you and Dennis this year for a wonderful workshop. Joan

    1. Great to hear from you Joan. We will be thinking of you at Gabriola. Chris

  5. That Tallheo Cannery set is inspirational Chris; a lovely set depicting a way of life that seems to be a self contained world of fishing and you’ve captured it beautifully. It’s interesting that the net drying/airing area just seems to be a barn but in Hastings, South East England the net drying sheds are very tall at some 40-50ft but only about 10ft square but all are painted black to absorb and hold more heat. There maybe five or six of these built together but each one is individual. I have photos of them somewhere!

    1. Thanks for your interest and story. This old cannery building is just hanging on! Two other buildings are at the bottom of the ocean! I hope this one lasts a few more years!
      Chris

  6. As always, nice work Chris! Pleased that you and Dennis have been able to teach these longer workshops this year.

    1. Thanks Chris…as always!

Hello Chris, Thank you for continuing your newsletters. I always enjoy them and especially your last one on the Bowren Lakes. It brings back wonderful memories of my trip with you many years ago. I hoped son Jeff McWilliams and his wife Eleanor could attend one of your workshops. They are both keen on photography but are still busy working. I am still coming to Mahood Lake sadly without my dear Jim as of last Sept.
    Thanks so much, Barb Mc

    1. Wonderful to hear from you Barb; and so sorry to hear about Jim. It’s nice to know you still visit the area; do drop in if you pass by this way. Hi to Jeff. Sincerely, Chris

  8. Wonderful exhibit Chris that brought back my own memories of that wonderful place and the workshop that you and Dennis hosted there in 2016.

    1. Thanks Fred…great memories. Stay inspired. Chris
