Happy Holidays to All!
I chose this image for my closing Newsletter of 2020 because, to me, it speaks of the year many of us have just experienced; life in all directions. Personally, I have discovered new insights by exploring the beauty of a much smaller and contained space; our own property and surrounding area. From 2 square inches of a kitchen window on a cold winters’ morning at sunrise, I see life unfolding as it should.
For the season and the year 2021, Rita and I wish you all health and happiness. We are x-c skiing daily, so who knows, maybe we’ll see you on the trail!
A few Winter Images from Close to Home

Rita and I often enjoy the complete silence of night skiing. We have seen saw-whet owls, fox, and the prints of lurking wolves.
Rita and I also enjoy packing a lunch during spring-skiing.
~ An Adventure in Art ~
A Photographic Exhibition
In my November Newsletter, I initiated ‘photographic exhibitions’ as a way of sharing my visual adventures. Within this platform I am able to exhibit more images, which together, make up a more complete story to share with my viewership friends.
In many ways, I make images that I can share with the world and tell stories that are important to me. Each of my book publications, and the story of the Chilcotin Ark are examples. As expressed through the art of photography, they are my truth.
In this month’s exhibition, I am sharing the story of my first self-directed art residency experience. It took place on Gabriola Island.
