Fly Fishing on the Mitchell River ~ Part III

In this the last of the Mitchell River narratives, I will share my favourite fishing images. I have never fished, but I certainly grasped the passion that each of these gentlemen had for fly fishing.

While Doug and his clients fished, I photographed; each following our passions, each participating in the art forms of our choice.

The mountainous setting for these fly fishing adventures was supernatural; each trip an experience I will never forget.

As the fishing season ended, we drifted downstream one last time. When a shaft of light lit up the autumn colours, I asked Doug if he would stop the boat and cast his line one last time. Enthusiastically, he jumped into the river and fished the last rays of the sun.

Once again, a special thanks to Doug Mooring of Cariboo Rivers Fishing and Wilderness Adventures. His passion for fishing and his willingness to share his favourite fishing holes opened the door for me to capture this spectacular part of British Columbia.
