Bridge River Glacier ~ Part IV
Continued from VN #’s 056-059.
It’s always a welcome sound to hear your helicopter as it comes over a pass and across the glacier to pick you up on the arranged date. Compared to the massive mountain landscape, it appeared as a small insect.
Within minutes, Brian and his wife Sue arrived to pick us up.
One last view of the Bridge River Glacier…
…and the array of icebergs. Rick Church was right when he insisted on showing us this jewel in the Lillooet Icecap. It was a photographic experience of a lifetime.
On the flight back to Whistler, we flew over mud flows from the Meager Creek 2010 rockslide. Compared to the pristine snow-covered glaciers, we had entered a different world.
Arriving home.
It had been an amazing 4 days in a most dynamic landscape. We thank you, Brian, for making this trip possible.
