Lanzarote VI – Arts, Culture & Tourism

 Volcanoes 3:

This last set of volcanic images from Lanzarote pertains to the dance of shadow and light. Rita and I paid for a second entrance fee to Timanfaya Volcanic Park to once again enjoy the landscape views from the lookout and a celebratory glass of wine at the restaurant.

I purposely chose a mixed sun and cloud day in the hope that dramatic light would enliven the landscape. I was not disappointed.

The wine topped off our day in Timanfaya Volcanic Park in perfect style!

Even the slightest dashes of light livened the landscape.

Tonality and texture. Exciting and powerful.

Patches of light and shadow turned this viewscape from three tones to nine or ten tones. What I difference!

My spirit soared as the light changed.

It was as if the Earth was storytelling.

While watching the play of light, I saw the potential for the above image but I knew the odds were not in my favour. I waited, and then it happened.

Finally, it was time for that glass of wine with Lanzarote potatoes!

I hope you enjoyed our Lanzarote experience.
