Newsletter #136: November, 2016

Hi everyone,
This is a Newsletter with a difference; there is only one lonely photograph in it!
With only a couple of hours at home to write this Newsletter, I have made it an informational one.
The book launch was an ‘evening of a lifetime’, and now we are touring the province with a spectacular audio-visual presentation based on that book. We hope you will join us at the one nearest you and enjoy an evening you you’ll never forget.
This is the 136th consecutive monthly Newsletter; my TWELTH YEAR without missing a single month! Enjoy!
Our goal at the Chris Harris Gallery is to share photographic adventures and inspire others in the creative process. Please share this Newsletter with friends. We appreciate your interest and continued support for my work.

The Book Launch: an ‘Evening of a Lifetime’
On October 22nd, 2016, British Columbia’s Cariboo Chilcotin Coast: A Photographer’s Journey was launched in my home town of 108 Mile Ranch. A team of incredibly talented friends turned the evening into a memorable experience that Rita and I will never forget.
For images and a short video of this very special evening, I invite you to visit the blog post by my photographer friend Dennis Ducklow who very kindly photographed the event for us. His efforts, under very difficult shooting conditions, have provided us with a memory Rita and I will never forget. Thank you Dennis.

The Book Tour Presentation: Stunning imagery, inspirational music, and a story of the century
You don’t want to miss this presentation; a multi-media extravaganza where you will experience the breath-taking imagery of British Columbia’s Cariboo Chilcotin Coast while listening to original, enriching, and inspirational musical settings by Ken Marshall.
You will also hear the story of a phenomena which could be the most significant story of the 21st century in this period of global climatic change. This story, the story of the Chilcotin Ark, is being released through this book to the world for the very first time.
Through 5 image sequences, all put to original music, you will be transformed by the beauty, the diversity, and the importance of the Ark for all mankind. You will leave with an understanding of why the significance of this story made it an ethical imperative for Rita and I to publish this book.
The presentation is for all ages; bring your family and friends and enjoy a glimpse into some of the wonders of British Columbia.

Coming to a town near you.
Chris: Don’t forget to contact the Mountaineers – I would love to have you bring your presentation to Seattle. I wish I had an “in” for you, but I don’t.
Dennis let us know about your presentation, which I understand was a wonderful success.
I am waiting to hear if there will be a “graduate” course next summer! Joan
Hi Joan. Hopefully the Mountaineers will happen early next year. As for the ‘Grad’ course, that will probably happen in 2018, not this coming year. I met your friend Gail at a speaking engagement last night…she says ‘hi’!!! Thanks Joan.
Hey, Chris, I don’t see Sarnia on your list.
Sarnia is near me
Bill De Meester
It’s BC before Christmas…the world is open after that! We would need support to organize Ontario!
Cheers, Chris
