Feature Presentations & Workshops

For decades, Chris has given presentations and workshops from British Columbia to Florida and California to New Brunswick. Feature presentations have included those at CAPA (Canadian Association for Photographic Art), and NANPA (North American Nature Photography Association). By drawing on his experience as an outdoor guide and fine art photographer, Chris reveals the stunning beauty of British Columbia’s central Cariboo Chilcotin Coast wilderness, offering artistic and technical insights to his work as an artist, photographer and publisher.

“We were just blown away with Chris’ presentation. Seeing Chris’ images, along with his commentary about his thoughts and feeling behind the shots, was wonderful. It really gave you a sense and a feeling for the grasslands.”

“I am fortunate to have participated in the workshop with Chris. His approach to creating different and exciting art from mundane subject matter has rekindled and expanded my interest in art photography”

“Your visit to our club will be remembered for a long time as a real highlight.”

Shuswap Theatre Fund Raiser Presentation

March 25 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

This is a major fund raiser for the Shuswap Theatre in Salmon Arm.

A Photographer’s Journey:  from photo-journalist to visual artist

Chris Harris has explored and captured the grandeur of the natural world, and shared it with the rest of us, as no other photographer has done. In this image, music, and narrative presentation,
Chris will take you on two distinct journeys.

The Chilcotin Ark takes us into the remote, majestic, and largely unknown reaches of the Chilcotin. The final 5 books of Chris’ impressive 13 independently published books, are his
Legacy Project. These 5 books are an intimate, knowledgeable, and mind-blowing, exploration of his home region of the Cariboo Chilcotin Plateau.

Together we will explore the profound landscape of shield volcanoes; paddle through a garden of icebergs created by retreating glaciers; and discover emergent landscapes that animate the world
around us.

The Art of Possibility, our second journey, is into the artistic process of a person who seeks a challenge; whether in mountaineering and exploring new landscapes, or in seeking new frontiers
of creative expression. On this journey, you will travel with Chris as he takes his camera on unexplored paths of possibility.

For photographers, for lovers of the natural world, for those passionate about art, and for those who seek new ideas; this presentation is unmatched.
