This is a major fund raiser for the Shuswap Theatre in Salmon Arm.
A Photographer’s Journey: from photo-journalist to visual artist
Chris Harris has explored and captured the grandeur of the natural world, and shared it with the rest of us, as few other photographers have done. In this image, music, and narrative presentation, Chris will take you on two distinct journeys.
The Chilcotin Ark takes us into the remote, majestic, and largely unknown reaches of the Chilcotin. The final 5 books of Chris’ impressive 13 independently published books, are his Legacy Project. These 5 books are an intimate, knowledgeable, and mind-blowing, exploration of his home region of the Cariboo Chilcotin Plateau.
Together we will explore the profound landscape of shield volcanoes; paddle through a garden of icebergs created by retreating glaciers; and discover emergent landscapes that animate the world around us.
The Art of Possibility, our second journey, is into the artistic process of a person who seeks a challenge; whether in mountaineering and exploring new landscapes, or in seeking new frontiers of creative expression. On this journey, you will travel with Chris as he takes his camera on unexplored paths of possibility.
For photographers, for lovers of the natural world, for those passionate about art, and for those who seek new ideas; this presentation is unmatched.
