  1. Nice work Chris. Your accompanying text is always detail rich and insightful. For myself, it was the observation on self-imposed limitations that resonated in this article. Pushing through those can be challenging indeed. I also sometimes wonder if we even fail to recognize some instances of those?

    1. Yes, there is a lot we miss for sure! The search is a wonderful part of photography!

  2. Exceptional photos Chris. They are beautiful.

    1. Thank you kindly Kris.

  3. Chris: I am inspired, not only to see the prints and stories that are a part of this art philanthropy project, but most of all your section on ‘revisiting.’ Though not a photographer, this same message carries so much meaning in life: “If the reality in front of you no longer inspires, express yourself differently.” Revisit, and bring new eyes and new expression to the world. And what a light-filled reality results! Such a perfect illustration in images of what you discovered on Gabriola and in Montreal. May I always live and see this way… Thank you for your art which you brought to me today, Chris.

    1. Thank you for articulating your emotional response Brenda. As that is what art is supposed to do, it’s an immense compliment to read your comment. Thank you kindly.

  4. wonderful pictures Chris, just love the way you capture everything, thank you for sharing

    1. Thanks for commenting John.

  5. What an honour for you to have your photography hanging in the Shriners Hospital for Sick Children in Montreal. I’m certain the chosen photos will be a memorable glimpse into the untamed beauty of remote BC for the children, parents and staff. It will probably instill in them a passion to travel West and try to see at least a little of it for themselves. Congratulations!

    1. Great to hear from you Joyce. Hoping all is well in your neck of the country. It is an honour; thanks for connecting.

All the pictures are Beautiful , but the ones from Montréal give the impression that people are climbing those stairs to reach the top of the mountain and Finally get a little more air and space .

    Regards
    Miche 😉

    1. Hello Micheline. In fact, they were heading up toward McGill and the mountain beyond! It looks like they were exiting the city, heading for cleaner air!!
I did get a picture of my home in Beloeil; I actually was invited in to see it. It seemed very small from how I remembered it!

  13. Hi Chris
What an honour to have your work included in the collection at the Shriners Hospital in Montreal. The children, their families, staff and visitors will be so appreciative. It will certainly give them inspiration and an insight into the landscape you are still so lucky to explore.
Favourites are the two taken on Gabriola Island.
