Visual Language

“We can write the new chapters in a visual language whose prose and poetry will need no translation”.  – Ernst Haas

It’s spring clean up; time to rake up all that is dead from last year, in preparation for new growth, new forms of beauty. But wait a minute; what about the old forms of beauty. Before I burn everything or put it on the compost pile, let’s take a closer look, at each stem, each leaf, each seed, and each dried out flower. Each are elements of immense beauty, just as much as when they were alive and colourful. I gathered a few, and made this image.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend.

BC Grasslands, still life

My Final Major Book! In celebration of the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast region of BC, its ancient rainforests, canyon-grasslands, Chilcotin Ark, and central coastline, I am embarking on my largest and most significant book to date. During my research, writing and image selection, I will post blog images and the stories behind them.
