The American White Pelican is back in the Cariboo Chilcotin to breed. Most breed on Stum Lake which is now within White Pelican Provincial Park. These migratory birds will often fly over 200km from their nests to feed. Strangely, Stum Lake has very few fish, this the necessity to travel for food.
