On a Walk with my Dog, I saw Contrast!

Three days ago I was walking my dog along a small lake not far from our home when I noticed lines of contrast streaking across the lake. I had been looking at them every day for a week, but the beauty in these lines just didn’t register until three days ago.

Contrast is the first thing I look for when seeking subjects to photograph. Excited and motivated, I returned to the lake (and a neighboring lake) at different times of the day for two days. I was amazed at what I saw. Here are three images I made that first day.

This was my first image to show viewers what I saw from the roadside.  Contrast on a frozen lake.

Later in the day

Still later in the day!

With no snow in the forecast I was so excited for day two! I was prepared and ready. Stay tuned for more!

Oh yeah! The contrast is very exciting! Then the nuance in softer light. Just to catch it! To see it! Be motivated, saturated, moved.
    I love your vision.
    Love,
    Valérie
