Not far from where we are staying in Montreal, is Mount Royal, the large volcanic mountain (hill) created some 125 million years ago. The mountain park, from which Montreal took its name, is a beautiful place to visit, especially at this time of the year.
Two days ago, we walked to the ‘lookout’ and then back through the Mount Royal Cemetery. Here are a few images I made along the way.
There were trails everywhere! Thank goodness for Google maps!
Walking in a deciduous forest at this time of the year is amazing. It’s an experience I miss in western Canada.
Montreal from the Lookout.
The mountain on the far left horizon is where I grew up near Beloeil.
Downtown.
Our walk home took us through the Mount Royal Cemetery. It was so beautiful, I am going to return and photograph on a cloudy day.

The two impressionistic images at the top of this entry are phenomenal!
Very nice work.
I love the images of walking through the forest of colour and light. I can “feel” and “hear” the sounds of the leaves on the ground. Thanks for that memory. Your timing of catching people in your images speaks of a quick eye and often patience.
I must admit your works u=ib=n the «woods» are incredible.
Am so enjoying your time in Mtl. Only wish David was alive as I am sure he would have enjoyed it as well.
Keep up the good work Chris. Thoroughly love seeing sights of Montreal – lots of memories. Thank you.
Thanks Nancy. Yes, it would have been great to have met up with David here in Montreal. Thanks for being a part of my Montreal experience. Chris
