Two days ago I drove out to Farwell Canyon with my camera. It was the first time I had been there in a year; ever since I visited the area immediately after the wildfire of 2017. The area is as beautiful as ever. You wouldn’t know there had been a fire.
The Chilcotin River winds its way past the Farwell Canyon hoodoos.

What a beautiful day it was!
I love your work Chris. Farewell canyon and that countryside is indeed beautiful. You make it come to life.
Thanks Michelle. Farwell Canyon make me come to life!!
Thanks for the glimpse into Autumn colour in the Canyon country. Nice juxtaposition of colour and starkness.
Be well,
Thanks Adbhuta; great to hear from you. I hope all is well in the north country. I often think of you. Chris
Magical place isn’t it … great images Chris!
Thanks Larry. I never get tired of going there! Chris
Thanks again Chris. I met you in Farwell twelve years ago and had the privilege of introducing my daughter to you a few years later on our way to the canyon. It’s one of my favourite places on earth.
…currently in the Azores
…back to Manitoba in November.
I remember your name Gary but can’t place the face! Thanks for staying in touch; Farwell is a wonderful place. Enjoy your present trip…take care. Chris
