SUMMARY:Shuswap Theatre Fund Raiser Presentation
DESCRIPTION:This is a major fund raiser for the Shuswap Theatre in Salmon Arm. \nA Photographer’s Journey:  from photo-journalist to visual artist \nChris Harris has explored and captured the grandeur of the natural world\, and shared it with the rest of us\, as few other photographers have done. In this image\, music\, and narrative presentation\, Chris will take you on two distinct journeys. \nThe Chilcotin Ark takes us into the remote\, majestic\, and largely unknown reaches of the Chilcotin. The final 5 books of Chris’ impressive 13 independently published books\, are his Legacy Project. These 5 books are an intimate\, knowledgeable\, and mind-blowing\, exploration of his home region of the Cariboo Chilcotin Plateau. \nTogether we will explore the profound landscape of shield volcanoes; paddle through a garden of icebergs created by retreating glaciers; and discover emergent landscapes that animate the world around us. \nThe Art of Possibility\, our second journey\, is into the artistic process of a person who seeks a challenge; whether in mountaineering and exploring new landscapes\, or in seeking new frontiers of creative expression. On this journey\, you will travel with Chris as he takes his camera on unexplored paths of possibility. \nFor photographers\, for lovers of the natural world\, for those passionate about art\, and for those who seek new ideas; this presentation is unmatched. \n  \nThe cost for this special fundraiser is:  \nstudents – $10.00;   Adults – $20.00.   Tickets are sold at the door

SUMMARY:An Osoyoos & Penticton Camera Clubs Presentation
DESCRIPTION:Photography and the Art of Possibility \nChris Harris has explored and captured the grandeur of the natural world\, and shared it with the rest of us\, as few other photographers have done. In this image\, music\, and narrative presentation\, Chris will take you on two distinct journeys. \nThe first\, titled Emerging Landscapes\, will take you into the remote\, majestic\, and largely unknown Coast mountains. There\, at the base of two retreating glaciers where human and planetary experiences meet\, a modern-day origin story is unfolding\, filled with energies and stories that animate the world around us. \nThe second journey titled Photography and the Art of Possibility\, will be into the artistic process of a person who seeks a challenge; whether in mountaineering and exploring new landscapes\, or whether it is in the seeking of new frontiers in the world of creative expression. Chris believes that art transcends subject matter\, and by reimagining reality rather than just replicating it\, we\ncan express spirit rather than accuracy. \nOn this journey\, you will travel with Chris as he takes his camera on unexplored paths of possibility. You will visit worlds you never knew existed. \nFor photographers\, for lovers of the natural world\, for those passionate about art\, and for those who seek new ideas; this presentation is unmatched. \n  \nThe cost for this event is:  \n$10.00  for non-club members.   Tickets are sold at the door
