I’m back in the land of the living…except for last night! I’ll get to that in a minute, but I am home in the Cariboo working on my next book, building a new website, and getting fire firewood split and stacked for the winter. On Halloween Night, Rita got dressed up to celebrate the festivities […]

An Inspiring Four Weeks of Workshops

It’s been a wonderfully inspiring four weeks of photography. I have given three 3-day workshops here at the Gallery and I presented a talk on Narrative Photography at the Canadian Assoc. of Photographic Art in Vancouver. I have been inspired by beginners and professionals alike; hopefully I too have inspired others. Next, Rita and I […]
Touching base

I’ve been going places and doing all sorts of thing – all except staying current with my blog posts. It’s that time of the year. Next I have three workshops and a speaking engagement in Vancouver which will keep me hopping over the next four weeks. Then I am off on some photo shoots in […]
Yoga Retreat – Part II

Last week I happened to find 7 beautiful women of the wild west Chilcotin doing yoga at ‘The Dean on Nimpo’ Resort. One might think that nothing much goes on when you drive through Nimpo Lake and Anahim Lake on the way to Bella Coola, but as you can see, one would be mistaken! Overlooking […]

Wild blue flax – a garden delight

There is always magic at Farwell Canyon

Every time I visit Farwell Canyon, there is magic in the landscape due to the always changing light. Landscapes are never static, they are dynamic, and that is why I never get ‘bored’ by visiting the same place many many times. In fact, the more times I visit, the more I see in the details, […]
Exploring the essence of a garden Iris

Yesterday, my router went on the fritz, so I went into the garden with with my camera and enjoyed a journey of discovery in the Iris patch! I returned an hour later with dozens of intimate lilyscapes. I won’t wait for anything to break down tomorrow; I know exactly where I want to go! Enjoy!
Summer is here! Heading for the Lake!

Warm summer temperatures are here early this year making it time to head for the lakes. There are 1,000’s of lakes to take advantage of here in the Cariboo Chilcotin region of BC, so get the boat, canoe, or kayak out and have some fun with family and friends. One of my favourite pastimes is […]
Garden Flax Bursting with Energy!

During my photographic workshop over the weekend I was demonstrating some expressive techniques. This is one I made of some flax bursting with energy on our walkway.
