Towering silt bluffs form an impressive background to a meadow of Big sagebrush and solitary Douglas fir. To convey both the power and the delicacy of this grassland landscape, I made the image on a day with diffuse light to bring out colour, and a long lens to capture the spirit of the bluffs.
